I've been wanting to make an antler-handled net for a while and finally got around to it; finished this one recently...

Great job, Phil! Does the antler itself have a back story?

Not really Dave; it's from an antler shed, and only that I have to look at a lot of antlers to find one with the right curve, spacing, etc.

Sure; just pick whichever hand you want to hold it in :rotf:

Definitely pushing the qualifying limits of true folk art - I guess the purists would give a significant deduction for what looks like plastic (vinyl?) netting. I think its elegant - reminds me of Inuit, Tlingit or Umailit hand-crafted hunting and fishing tools. Beautiful work!
