Hey all,
I have this older Parker Hammer gun (3 Digit Ser#), and it's missing the under hammer parts? (Not sure what you call it). Anyways if anybody can help I'm looking for the parts. A screw and a pad of some kind, not sure, looking for help. Thanks
Thanks, Jeff

That's a very interesting gun. I've never seen a horse and Carriage? on the trigger guard if that's what I'm seeing. Hopefully someone will have what you need.

That's a nice old "Pin Lifter" and likely engraved by Jacob Glahn. His engraving often told a story, like the "Chicken Thief" gun or the "Pointing Cow" gun or the "Kick in the Pants" gun.

They are great and desired by many Parker collectors.

Someone good with metalworking could even make you a reasonable replacement for that pad for the Lifter lever.

This one’s from a “T Latch” model but shows how simple it would be to make one.

And this one is like yours.

Don't want to give you bad news but I have been looking for one of those for 3 years with not a sniff. I suspect they were easy to lose and might have come off when hunting. I almost suspect to see them missing when I first see any of this model, so buying a parts gun generally not yield one.

The missing one I need is not made exactly made like the one Dean shows. It doesn't have the locating ridge across. Instead the bottom of the lifter is flat and the shoe will need to have a narrow slot cut lengthwise to fit. I don't have my notes, but I did find that a standard size screw will work. If memory serves it is a scope base mount screw thread (6-48 maybe). The type of lifter I have will require some close machining and then a lot of hand shaping. When I get around to it, I plan on taking a piece of small bar stock and making a slotted bar first. Then I will have enough to fail on a few until I get one right.

If, you want something until you find or have a part made, you could easily make one out of a piece of hard wood like walnut. I can’t think of any reason it wouldn’t work (but I probably wouldn’t have thought filling the Hindenburg with hydrogen was a problem either). Wood would also look good too.

I think a wooden lifter button could look really good.

I would think that part would be fairly simple to make out of steel.
