Just wanted to let everyone know what a great time I had this past weekend.
Sitting here at work wishing I was back in route to Deep River like I was last week at this time.
The Challenge Cup/Events have become a tremendous event to themselves.
We owe our orgainization and the Smith organization a big thank you to making this happen over the years.
Hats off to Mark Conrad, great to see you go out with a win, and a winning record. I believe Mark is 5 and 3.
Great to see everyone, hope all made it home safely.
Already looking forward to next years event.
Maybe we can start Carl off with a win in both the Challenge Event and the Hammer Event next year.

John I have been thinking the same thing all day. We wait and wait with anticipation then it's gone for another year. Hausmanns is next month and two weeks later is the U.P. Shoot so I have something to look forward to.

John, Danny and I had one hell of a good time at the Southern and we enjoyed meeting you. I have been basking in the afterglow all week...:) As I am sure you will agree meeting COB for the first time is an experience not easily forgotten....

John,
Great shooting on the hammer event. How does 3 days fly by so quickly? I know I will do my best to give Carl and the PGCA a win by I really don't care who wins. The whole experience is all consuming, there are too many friends to talk to and too many guns too shoot and not enough time to do it. Damn, life is so short and this work thing gets in the way. You should really try to make the Hausmann shoot. It has the same atmosphere as the Southern but a waaaay better clays course. It's all about the guys and the guns [in that order]. Hope to see you soon.

The Southern is like Christmas when I was a kid. So slow getting here and it's over too fast. What a great event. Edward and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing old friends and meeting new ones.

Allan, I've never seen you at Hausman's but I know you'd like it. We have some great times there with friends and would really like to see you and Jean there sharing the fun with us all. Visiting great friends, visiting the vendors in the tents, admiring all the fine guns, hanging out in the shady area of the field where we park and picnic. Hell, who needs to shoot to have fun!

John don't be to alarmed by Deans comment on shooting. Its well known (and he proves it regularly) that Dean can't hit the broad side of a barn if he was inside it! He goes for the comraderie and the adult beverages.:glug:
His lessons will begin again at Hausmanns:whistle:
I can't shoot either (you saw that) but I have fun and get to look and sometimes buy nice guns:whistle:

Rich, my time is limited... I hope you called ahead for an appointment.
In case you were wondering, My terms are very reasonable - One unopened container of Mr. Daniels amber fluid will be sufficient.
