Just purchased my first Parker. It is a 32" High Rib, High Comb,Single Trigger, Ejector. Serial number says it was mfg in 1927. 12 ga #2 frame.Would like to know how many were configured like this.

Thanks,
Joe

We would like a picture, but you could start by defining "high rib". Is it a solid rib or a ventilated rib with support posts? A PHE with the features you describe is scarce, more so with a ventilated rib.

Bill,
Thanks for the reply. My Gun has a Vent rib and also a Beavertail Forearm that I forgot to mention. I will take some pics and send later when I can. Scarce Color, Blue is 85% plus, but solid mechinically. Would appreciate your thoughts on the price range.

Like Bill said try and post some pictures and also post the serial number so someone can check the book to see if your gun came with those extras.

Joe, Your Parker Shotgun is listed in the "Serialization Book" as a PP (Grade1) 12 gauge 32"barrels with single trigger, pistol grip stock, ejectors and vent rib. The box for Large forend is not checked but that could be an omission. Sounds like a great gun. Congratulations! We need pictures....

I've been an LC guy for a long time but please don't hold that against me. Don't know much about the Parkers. Is there a way to find out how many were configured like this?

Thanks again Guy's,
Joe

Joe,

Is that the P grade you were talking about at the Southern?

Joe,

Looks like 113 32" 12 gauges with parker steel barrels.
The Parker Story does not mention how many made with vent ribs, beavertails, etc like yours with all the options.

You ve got a very desireable gun. Shoot her up.
Glade to know you have a Parker now.
But I expect you and Don to stick with the Smiths.:)

Hey John,
Good to hear from you. Yep, this is the one I snatched at the Southern. I'm going to request a letter from a guy that Don know's. As far as next year or any upcoming shoots I will shoot the one that I do best with. Might be on your team next year "that is if we both can get back on again"!!
If you have any idea what this gun is worth let me know.

Thanks,
Joe

Its hard to put a price tag on one. There are alot of things to consider.
Like some of the other guys have recommended post some pictures and the guys will give you some great advice. No one one here is trying to hurt anyone or do any harm. So dont hold back if you are concerned with that. We are a friendly bunch.

We would be more than happy to have you shoot for us should things go that way. But if not it is always exciting to know that other team has some stiff competition to push you to do better.
Stay in touch.

John
