They said pick the fat, roly poly ones - but I’m a sucker for a skinny puppy. Sweetest dog I ever knew. Missing her going on 4 years now.

Yes John BLM. I lost Parker at 15 years in Nov. then 3 weeks ago I lost Fox, also 15+ years. They both had a good run. Now the house is empty and dog hair free. I miss both of those but that won't stop me from getting another one or two.

2 Labs have owned me for about 25 years. My first, Tartan was imported from Scotland. She had about 1200 retrieves, most as a picker upper at a local club. More importantly, she made about 80 trips to Detroit's Children's Hospital as a therapy dog. My present dog, Daisy, another import, is 12 years old, and is nearing the end. Because I'm on the wrong side of 80, we will not have another

Gents I am going to get another dog, I am 82 but my wife is 13 years younger so she can love on them after I am gone, I have decided life with out a dog at least for me is not an option, I might get a male and female have to get the welding gloves out for protrction from those puppy claws! Gary

I’m so glad you have chosen to do this Gary… I couldn’t make that decision.

My Eva, who has spent many days at the Vintagers and other venues, has been gone for a few years now. I've been dogless for that time because I can't hunt or properly train a pup. I have had 75 years, since I was 3 years old, of setters and pointers and I may start again. Who knows?

Great decision Gary. Dogs don't care how old you are and I'm positive they add years to your life. I'm a young 74 and will have a new pup shortly.

My wife says "at some point we will be too old to own hunting dogs".....I shared "I won't live long enough to see that"
