This Parker started life as a VH 16 gauge on a 0 frame. I think the engraving artistry is spectacular. Happy Easter!

Sure is nice to see the work of someone who is this talented. It is not easy to get a woodcock image just right. Beautiful Parker.

That is way too nice to crash through alder thickets!

Woodcock and grouse- does it get any better? Oh I suppose they could have at least thrown one dog on there!! But I could get over it. Thanks for sharing. I wonder how many hours that took...

Ken Hurst did the higher grade engraving on some of the CPA renditions of the Stevens 44 1/2 rifles . Always thought I’d like one in a Pope schuetzen style with Hurst’s engraving . But unless I’m mistaken Mr. Hurst is no longer with us . RIP 🙏🏻

Garry,
It is a straight grip, 2 trigger, weighing 5/15 with 28" barrels. 15" LOP. Sounds like it may fit you........??

Beautiful gun Dean, grouse and woodcock, and the backround is so detailed! Did Ken Hurst sign his work?
Happy Easter!

Ken was a good friend and helped me on a couple of projects. I enjoyed visiting with him and his lovely wife many times. The loss of his collection was a tragedy. The most memorable project he did for me was the skeleton buttplate on the Gold Hearts Gun. This little 16 Parker is a great example of his work and I would like to own it. Thanks for the great pictures.

Keavin,
It has the typical K. Hurst stamp seen on other pieces of his work. It is stamped on the water table.

This is not a Parker but I am pretty sure it is Ken's work if I remember correctly. Beautiful.....

Just beautiful! I'd take that bird hunting in a heartbeat. It's no different than being seen in public with a beautiful woman on your arm

I think that is my friend Steve's Super-X. If I am right, that is one of Ken's most interesting works. Check out the water, the trees, and the turtle.

Not too long after I retired, Ken posted on one of the sites that he was looking for a solid rib Remington Model 17 and I tipped him off to one at a local shop here. While we were communicating he sent me these pictures of a Baker he was working on.

I've never seen pictures of it completed or of the Model 17.
