I like it. I liked it more when it was in my rack, but my wife likes the new slate roof.

That’s a beauty! ( The gun. I assume the roof is, too.)

Nice 28 ! Jealous!
Certainly puts a firm measure on value when one is worth a new slate roof!

Jay, I know I can look this up myself, but thought you have already: how many were made in this configuration?

That’s a beauty! ( The gun. I assume the roof is, too.) I've stood down in the front field and looked up at the roof many times, and maybe it's just my aging eyes, but it doesn't look anything like a 28ga Parker.

Nice 28 ! Jealous!
Certainly puts a firm measure on value when one is worth a new slate roof! Keavin, that only covered the front half. It fairness, the first four feet is standing seam copper, and they aren't giving copper away.

Hi Gary, The Parker story list 91 special steel barrel G grades in 28ga. and 64 with 26" barrels. It's hard to figure out the other features/options. Maybe just a handful with ejectors, ball grip and 00 frame. I should have mentioned the weight, which is a wonderful 5lbs. 13oz.

The grip has to really shrink the number. What a special gun. Congratulations again.

Wonderful gun (magic wand) Jay!

If this is your first 28 gauge it won’t be your last, this I know!

In fact, you may even liquidate your collection of other doubles in order to facilitate aquiring more 28’s.

Dean, this is my first "higher" grade 28 and that has ejectors and the lighter 00 frame. You are right...there is a lot to like about a small bore Parker!

What's not to like about 28's

I am afraid I traded this one towards a higher grade 28 at the Southern...

You did much better than when I had the GHE. All I got was a new slate roof.

You know those damascus barrels are dangerous, don't you?

It's a 0 frame, with 26" Damascus barrels. I got it from Josh down at the Southern. I had been after a Damascus 28 for a long time...

The 28 was the tough one for me Bill , Serial # 106312 , according to the Parker Story it was the only 25" Titanic Steel Barreled 28 Gauge D Grade ever built and I carried it and shot it like it was an extension of my arms ! The 410 ,I carried once a year on Preserve hunts with two friends ,one who shot an LC Smith 410 and the other a Vent Rib Model B Fox 410 ! We sure enjoyed shooting them ,My 410 actually went back to a Fine Gentleman on this forum that owned the gun before Odus had it Upgraded to a B Grade ,it is a Beautiful Gun ,I feel like it Went Home ! I owned it a lot of years but didn't carry it any more since all my dogs are gone !
