I have a VHE skeet gun serial number range 239xxx. It current has a 26” barrel at about 3# 9 oz on a 1-1/2 frame size. I was thinking of getting a second set of barrels a bit longer 28, 30 or 32.
Looking for any advice about doing this and the probability of it working out.

Assuming it’s a 12 gauge, you can buy a decent V grade 12 gauge for under $1,500 or find one with a bad stock for less and have them fit to the gun and you’d have the extra forend.

There are several sets of 1 1/2 frame repo barrels on Guns International for under 2K

Yes it is a 12 gauge. What I was looking for was some 1st hand experience in getting a set of barrels to fit. I tried a vhe I have and they are close.

Bob, Contact Dan Morgan in VT or Dan Cullity in East Sandwich, MA. Morgan is a barrels only shop and Cullity is a gunsmith quite familiar with vintage SxS guns. Either could lead you to the answer your looking for.

This old thread might help a Little. This job Was not as easy as I thought it would be. I did not use the first set of barrels that came along.

Dan Cullity and Son have an extra 28 inch 20 ga Repro barrel that I recently purchased and are fitting it to one of my Repros. Their work is excellent. If you buy an extra barrel, make sure it is complete. Ie all the internal parts that support the extractor or ejector systems etc are in the barrels
