Just got home from a week in Mexico where I was trying to knock a few new species off the list.
I got everything done I went there to do and did it all with side by side guns. Took my Stevens 311 two barrel set and my father's old Model 21 Winchester.
Mexican Duck
Black Belly Tree Duck
Cinnamon Teal
Common Gallinule
White Wing Dove
Collared Dove
And to add to the sweet taste of success....a banded bluebill! My first ever banded diving duck.

Why are my pictures posting wonky?! Every one of those has been cropped and rotated. Grrrr

Be sure you saved a copy of the final edit. I always keep the original and save a copy with a much different name so I don't confuse them. Different editors work in their own fashion. I always give a short unique name to the version I want to post and put the batch in a subfolder. Then I go to that subfolder and upload to be sure they are posted correctly.

Thanks for sharing your pics with us, Destry. It's cool that you took an old 311 to do the work.

I don't take The Preacher or the Swamp Angel to 3rd world countries. Just too much there to lose.

Yes I’d have loved to take my VHE 16 skeet to Argentina last week but after having done it once , if I ever do it again I’m shooting their autoloaders exclusively .

I don't think you can get 16 gauge shells in Argentina anyway. I know several people who have asked.

They claimed to have 12-16-20-28 and 410 where we were last week ! They even had a A-5 Sweet Sixteen if I’d been so inclined to shoot 16’s !

When we went many year ago, the shells were so dirty they jammed the autoloaders

Destry, did you find any info from the band data on that duck?

Yes that was the understanding thirtyfive or so years ago when I first thought about going . But everything I set off last week were relatively clean .

The bluebill was banded in 2021 in Montana of all places.
