I have been looking at this 20 gauge VHE for a couple weeks, but just can't pull the trigger. (HAHA).Seriously I wish this gun would just sell , because it's not in my budget right now, and I'm gonna end up buying. Reason for my post is what do you guys think of the gun ? Price to high ? Case color a little to bright? Something else you like or dislike? Here's the link , and looking forward to your thoughts.https://www.gunsinternational.com/guns-for-sale-online/shotguns/parker-shotguns/parker-vhe-20-gauge-o-frame-ejectors-letter-28-inch.cfm?gun_id=102573964

As Edgar said, keep looking. The stock has an a wood extension, not sure the frame was well prepped prior to the CC, the hinge pin screw slot isn’t horizontal, the frame screws aren’t timed, and the barrels didn’t have any pickup of the engraving done prior to a reblue.

Yes, bad for many reasons. Do not buy this gun. It can't be made right.

Interesting set screw just forward of the barrel lug. Don't recollect seeing that method of repair previously.

Your question should be “what is NOT wrong with it?”.
It likely will not sell. But that does not mean that you should buy it.

Greg, Parkers and patience go together. That gun is one hot mess, and that's just the exterior. Hang tight.... one way better is out there.

That will get old fast. It is far better to educate yourself some on what is a good gun and what is not, then you can decide for yourself.

Agree with all the above. I was at a local gun show yesterday and there was one Parker 16 gauge Trojan that was worse than this one on GI. Guy had $1200 on it and would "take $1000". It had a broken stock, no finish, screws about like the GI gun, cut barrels, beat all to heck. It wasn't worth $200. There are too many people who see the name and think $ signs.
As Brian said, you would be best-served by looking at a lot of Parkers and after a while you will recognize these anomolies that throw up a red flag.

In the meantime, keep posting your questions about the guns you are looking at. This is a great place to learn. If you want the crash course come join us at the Southern Side by Side and be sure to attend the Annual Meeting. Parker events like these give you the opportunity to connect with people who can help educate you while you’re actually looking at the guns.

Thanks Mike. The only SXS event I can really make is the great Northern in Medford WI, and that has been very educating. I met alot of very nice SXS enthusiasts at that event the last couple years.

By my hanging around here for about 10 years i was able to evaluate a Parker VH for a fellow at my club. From what i have learned here i told him it was not original, had been completely re-done by Delgrego and he paid a hell of a lot less than what even a re-done gun was worth.
From the letter it is still in original configuration and was sent to a person 30 miles from here and is chocked IC-Mod probably a grouse hunter.
Makes a good skeet gun and fits me perfectly and i do not have a cent in it.
