The familiar sporting clays haunt here in NE PA has been closed since January 1 and with nicer weather today my gang shot at an alternate club that does its Winter Sporting League on biweekly Sundays. 10 stations at 5 report pairs each = 100 birds. But we shot each one at 3 report pairs along with two simos to spice things up. I shot my 4E Ithaca NID 32" VR gun and she came in only 1 bird behind the top score for our gang of seven. 1-ounce reloads with 7-1/2's at about 1170 speed. Here she is with two of the three Perazzis and a tricked-out Beretta competition gas gun. Nice showing for a ~ 90 year old gal. :)

Thanks all. I forgot to add that I didn't see any other SxS's on yesterday's busy course. Yes Craig we were at the Factoryville Sportsmen's Club. The course is usually 16 stations but shortened to 10 stations during the winter to eliminate snow cleanup effort on its hilly part. Many changes have been made since you lived in the area and were a member. The course has been updated to Long Range remote clickers and traps moved accordingly farther away from the shooting butts = much more challenging presentations. Also the Club is finishing up a 600 yard rifle range and next improvement planned is a second sporting course on something like >100 acres of adjacent woods/reverting fields that FSC bought just a few years ago. Trap and skeet are shot during the warmer weather months. And the organized pistol shooting has been expanded greatly and with 3 new ranges.

I dunno what it costs now but back when I was there it was a good deal for the cost ! If memory serves yearly dues were $100 !

Craig, Adult membership at the FSC is currently $200. per year, you must be a NRA member and be sponsored by an existing member. Junior membership < 18 years old is $5.00/year. The Club is pretty active in the youth SCT Program.

I love seeing folks do a double-take (pun very much intended) when they see how well our old guns perform. Frank, thanks for representing yourself, and all of us, so well.
