$2.68 per shell is good ''News'' ? (Per Case Price plus tax & shipping) WOW!

Yes it is , if a guy doesn’t reload . For the non Reloader you can pony up or have a most likely expensive boat anchor :whistle:

If you don't reload the 10ga and/or 8ga it becomes a very expensive proposition in my opinion. Reloading is so easy and opens up many new avenues to Parker collecting. Reloaders need to keep the obsolete metallic cartridges and shotgun shells alive. The old 10's and 8's need to be kept alive, it's part of our American heritage. Remember Charlie Cleveland :)

That is good news, been long time coming. Looks like they are all 2 5/8" at the present time. It would be interesting to open one up and see what they are using for a wad, guessing the BP1044 and if so what they did to insure a proper gas seal ad they are known to be undersize.

I just have to add on this, but please take no offense.
Pete messaged me last week about 34 boxes of 10 gauge RST shells for $22 a box of 10 at Kittery trading post on Wednesday end of day. I called the store asked them to hold them for me till Friday at opening time (9am). Unfortunately no matter how I tried they would not hold them. The sales guy checked to see that they were still in the store, he also could not believe that they anyone made 2-7/8” 10 gauge lead shot shells. He confirmed that they were there and thought it would be very unlikely that anyone would be buying all 34 boxes. A arrived at 9:15 on Friday and all 34 boxes had been sold.
When people tell me about how expensive things are I just laugh, being in my 70’s I remember when;
- filling up my Motor cycle and not sending more than $2 per fill up
- a cheese pizza was $1.75
- I purchased my first house for 44k it just sold for just under 700K
- my new truck cost 62K
- I would buy Peters blue magic and AA for 3 to 4 box at the discount stores ( spags for you New Englanders)
- 10,000 yearly salary got you into the middle class. Now you get more than that on welfare.
So based on all that a 2.20 per shell for 10 gauge maybe is good news?

I’m surprised they wouldn’t let you pay with your card and let you pick up two days later !

As Craig said, these will never wear out. They can be found, vintage or new. I have located 16 gauge, 12 and 10’s. The wads are readily available and inexpensive. Simple hand tools do the job.

Anyway reloader and components will be here by the end of the week so the reloading can start.

Glad to hear you’re taking the road to “do it yourself” . I reloaded hard for years and when I stopped competing at skeet and trap I sold my set of PW’s . Then years later when my grandfathers W&C Scott 10 gauge came into my possession I ordered a 600 JR 10 gauge with a short kit and the next thing you know I was again loading all gauges 10-410 and not to long after added the 8 gauge . I’m probably more anal about loading then most folks in that I buy components that I use often any time they’re available or at a good price . I’d rather have more than I need than not enough .
