Had to share a special gift I got from my daughter. She does leather crafts as a sideline and a hobby.I showed her the Parker patch I got some time back that Destry had made up for us and asked if she thought she could make me one out of leather.Well I guess she can.Thought it fitting to take a pic under the tree with a couple neat Parkers I have.Merry Christmas to all.Hope you got something special for Christmas too.Jeff.

Yes I’d be intrested in a leather patch as well , I’ve already got a leather shell pouch it could go on and I think I know someone that has the ability to sew it on the pouch for me .

Didn't mean to leave everyone in suspense, but been at family Christmas.Talked to my daughter to see about making some more.I have to believe many of you would want one. They are pretty neat. She said they take about 5 hours to make, and she quoted,(that bird wasn't easy).I showed her the patch that Destry had made for us and she found a picture of it and made a copy and sized it,then traced it on leather and looking at the picture tooled it as she knew how.I think it's amazing, but what dad wouldnt. She said she could make a couple more in the next few weeks. Not sure where to price them, they would be quite a bit more than the wool patchs. And then who would they go to?,first response to thread? That's not really how I would want to do things as she might just be able to make so many, and wouldn't want someone left out that wants one.Have to give this some thought? Maybe at a fixed price on a lottery, maybe something the PGCA could sell tickets for? I certainly do not want to make anything on these, but I'm sure my daughter does,it's part of her living.I may talk to the board about this to be fair with everyone. And maybe it won't be that popular but for the time being I have got a (One of One) and I never dreamt I could ever say that in this organization.I hope we're all good, and thanks for the compliments on my daughter's work. Will be in touch.BTW,good chance you will get to meet her and some of her work at Pheasant Fest this winter in Sioux Falls,SD.Its right out our back door.Thanks,Jeff.

Why not have the PGCA buy a few and use them as fund raising items for a raffle or auction? I am sure some of us would bid or buy a raffle ticket for a fine hand made piece of sporting art like that. Just and idea.

Hello John, I'm leaning the same way.First of all my daughter asked me if this pattern was copyrighted, and not knowing I want to talk to the board to check on this.Secondly she doesn't know how many she would be able to make in a reasonable amount of time. She has full time job and does this as a hobby, and sideline mostly for friends and family.I think I should talk to the board and discuss things with them, and if they think this is worth while put them in contact with my daughter and they can make arrangements. If she could stamp out 50, 100,out in a month or so great, anyone that would want one would have the opportunity to purchase one.Thats just not possible for her to do.One way or another some of these will be available.I think it would be a neat thing for the organization to raffle, and hopefully make some money
on.She has also made me a leather shell bag and leather shell box holder with a double barrel shot gun with smoke coming out of the barrels and clay pigeons in the distance displayed on the side.Pretty neat.
