Anyone here do any hand checkering? I have a GH that almost all the checkering is worn off and was wondering if it would worth getting it re-checkered. Any ideas of ballpark cost of such a project?

I have been in contact with Mr. Dudley. From the replies so far, seems he is probably an expert at this.

It most definitely is. He did my GH stock set and I couldn't be happier.

Don’t know if you are still looking or not, but I live in Warsaw, MO and a friend of mine used to work for Fajen’s doing checkering here when Fajens was the gunstock capital of the world. He’s done some work for me on one of my old Winchester rebuilds and his work is great. If you’re interested I’ll get his permission to pass you his contact info. I have already spoken to him about redoing the checkering on my recently acquired Parker DH. He told me that he had patterns for all the old Parker’s from “AH” through the Trojans.
