Looks like the trap. It may have recoiled harder than the Parker.

Looks as if the trap has already been sprung and the target is gone; the shooter must have lots of confidence in that full choke as he is not even at the shoulder. Maybe a trick shooter; shooting in that position?

The trap cocked, and the lady looks to have a Trojan?

I’ve got a friend that’s a Remington collector and he has a bunch of old traps that can loosely be connected to Remington , if I’m not mistaken he has two like what’s pictured .

When were those style hand traps offered by Remington?
These Hand Trap folders are from the late 1930s --

The hand trap ads that I've seen date from 1914 - 1917.
This is the earliest DuPont trap ad; December 1914 Forest & Stream

This is neat; from 1919

There were other hand traps including the Bimco and J.C. Mitchell

There is a dupont hand trap on ebay right now a little expensive I think but it's not like they are for sale everywhere.

I sent my friend that’s into Remington’s the link to the thrower on EBay and he sent me a picture or two ! If you blow them up a bit you can see DuPont in the casting !

Those Dupont hand traps look like the "Buck Rogers Lightening Quick Rabbit Killer". :rotf::rotf:

I have one, and it's not OSHA approved. Better not have any loose fillings either.
