Do I see a very faint "2" in the rear lug?

What is the distance center to center between the firing pins? Not certain by looking at your pics.
1 3/16 = 3 frame
1 4/16 = 4 frame
1 5/16 = 5 frame

Looks like 1 1/8 but closer to 1 3/16

1 1/8 = 2 frame. You can also cross reference with the attached if you are uncertain.

I have a higher grade 10 that is about 1500 numbers before that which is a 2 frame. It likely is a 2.

Given how early the gun is. It likely pre-dates the standard frame sizing system. And certainly the marking of such system. But it would be roughly equivalent to a 2 frame gun.

Now you have me wondering. I have several 10 ga hammer guns. I have an 1880 and an 1874. It's too late to check but I will do it tomorrow. I was almost certain that both those guns had a frame size marking on the lug. I will see if they do or not. I know the 1874 is narrower than the 1880 in both breech width and stock head dimension.

I see no markings on the water table of mine

The water table wouldn’t have the frame size, only the serial number.
The barrel flats are the pictures I posted, but only to illustrate that my earlier Damascus barrels do not have the frame size stamp on the bottom face lf the lug and my later Laminated barrels have the frame size of 2 preceded with a 0, which we suspect is the stamp of a worker or inspector.
