Slow duck season so far but I have scratch down a couple every day with my DE Fox 12ga 30" with .040 chokes in both barrels.

Can't beat that combination of color and texture -- man made and natural. Sitting in a duck blind can be a restorative time. Thanks for sharing your hunt.

One of, if not the, most beautiful of the Fox grades. You do it justice my friend. Cold weather is on it's way so I'm sure things will pick up. In the mean time just keep those great pics coming. Still shooting Boss shells?

Boss fiber wad 1 1/4oz #5's. Picture of my assigned blind yesterday, pretty spot but it's been difficult with no wind.

Tell us more about that beautiful Fox shotgun! Do you have a letter on it you can post? How long have you had it? Where did you get it from? Etc.

Here is a copy of the factory build card. I bought the gun from Cash America Pawn in San Antonio TX, really I did!

Wow, I never find anything good at pawn shops. Used belt sanders…

Did you get it dirt cheap, at a pawn shop price? Maybe the story gets even better!

How long ago did you acquire it?

I bought it in 2020. Cash America is a very large chain of Pawn shops. They employ a firearms specialist so I did not steal the gun but paid a very fair price. I assisted them valuing a collection of SxS's so they were appreciative of my assistance.

There may be no wind but what a beautiful set up to enjoy mother nature. You're living the life my friend.

That is a beautiful gun! And more beautiful that it is doing what it is supposed to do.

Wow Craig that is a beautiful gun. I'm green with shotgun envy. About 20 years ago I was approached by a guy at the gun club that claimed he had inherited a Fox 20 gauge DE with 30" barrels and wanted to know if I wanted to buy it. Of course I said yes and then he said he wanted $10K for it. Sometimes you don't know what you're passing on. I still have his address, but I'm sure it's long gone.

Congrats on getting a great DE out doing what it was meant for!!

That is really nicely done Gough style DE-Grade engraving. As it should be!! There are some of the Gough style XEs & DEs that to my eye look like they were done with a cold chisel.
