If a Parker was ordered with a Monte Carlo stock, I'm assuming the request would appear in the Order Book. But would a notation of the MC necessarily be referenced in the Stock Book?

Stock book information often includes stock dimensions and mention of the Monte Carlo if it has one. My PHE trap #224562 letters from the #78 stock book entry as a Monte Carlo stock with all dimensions. 14 1/2" length of pull, 1 1/2" drop at comb, 1 1/2" at back of Monte Carlo, and 2 1/2" at heel. This is a real horse of a gun, 8 pounds, 13 ounces in the book. I don't know the actual weight. There was no extra charge for the Monte Carlo.

I have a 1925 gun with a Monte Carlo stock. The letter I have does not note the Monte Carlo. The LOP (15") in the letter does agree with the gun's measurements and also the DAH. This particular gun belongs in the "war horse" thread because it has been well used. The checkering on both the stock and fore end is well worn. I can't say for the sure that the Monte Carlo is original to the gun but it has been on the gun a long, long time. It is a 32" one frame 20 gauge.

Sure would like to see pictures of that 32" 20 gauge and some information on its origin.
