I just wanted to share a nice Fox Sterlingworth Wildfowl, serial number 134111 that I picked up. From what I could glean from the Fox website they were made from HE Super Fox parts after Savage purchased the company and are pretty scarce. I have to admit when I bought it I didn't know how scarce. It has 32" barrels, 3" chambers, and ejectors. Looks to me to be all original. She's a handful at 8 lbs 11 oz. Here are a few poor pictures. If anyone has some info or opinion on them that they could share that would be great.

Great to see another Wildfowl surface. Hope you can get some of "dem web footed fowls" with it this season.
Looks like a previous owner got overzealous with rebluing. The forearm iron, Deeley lever, top-lever, safety slide and triggers should be color case hardened, not blued.

If you enlarge the image you can see the Chicopee Falls stamping.

Ducks will fall (if you do YOUR part). Share pictures when you do.

I had one that was in that condition 15 or so years ago and will try to find serial number. Bobby

Thanks for all the comments. I've been away from the website for a few days and didn't realize there were additional posts. I also started a thread and posted pictures on the Fox collectors website. From what I learned on the Fox site there were only several dozen made. The Sterlingworth 134111 serial number would be from around 1933, but the Wildfowls were actually sold around 1945, two years before Savage moved Fox from Utica to their Chicopee Falls location. There were a few barrels made in Chicopee Falls and sent to Utica for Wildfowls. Unfortunately the card for this one is missing, though a few other cards in the block of Wildfowl guns are known. I hope I understood what the experts like Frank Srebro and Dave Noreen were saying on that site. She is a pretty cool gun though.
