Hello,
I have acquired a damaged and neglected 10ga. parker lifter shotgun.
I cant make any sense of the markings however.
Inside the receiver is 20930, Mar 16, 1875
on the flat of the barrel there is MF 58 and two upside down capital "T"s followed by 939.
Can someone help identify what is left of this gun?
Thank you.

You have a10ga. lifter action hammer gun with 30" plain twist barrels. The gun's S/N is 20930. The 5/8 is the unstruck barrel weight, the MF is not known, and the 11939 is the order book number. It's the lowest grade gun Parker made.

Thank you for the info.
I guess its a good thing that it is a low grade gun, given the horrible condition it is in today.
I will try to return it to operating condition, at least.

Serial number 21733 has the T with the crescent above and below, with a tiny E to the right. I saw that M on 20930 and wondered if it was for Musket barrel steel?
What does it say on the rib?

Barrel rib indicates plain twist steel.
So the serial number 20930 would make this an 1881 produced gun?
The 1875 date may be a patent mark instead of its manufacture?
Also this gun has the later forend latch instead of the cross pin found on most of the early ones that I have seen, is that unusual?
I will post a picture of the complete gun once it is reassembled.
This one is a "truck gun" grade Parker.
