Here are a couple more Parkers that will be auctioned this Saturday at Amoskeag in Manchester, NH. I have no connection to the auction or any of the guns, just thought I would pass this along in case someone does.

If these guns sell for the pre-auction estimates, it seems to me that they will have been "well bought".

Yeh, we'll see. The autction prices in general, at least up here, have seemed for the past two years to be running just under the max estimates.

The auction was this past Saturday and I thought some migh be interested in what the parkers sold for . If you click on the links you will be able to see the sold for prices, which include the buyers premium.

It doesn't appear that any of the refinished guns sold for any more than the price of the refinishing.

My guess is that there weren't many bidders on the Parkers to drive the prices up.
The pictures aren't very good and the descriptions leave a lot to be desired so it's tough from where I sit to estimate value.

I looked them over and watched the auction and "in my opinion" the guns sold for what they were worth. I didn't see any great bargains or surprises. I was curious about the Parker paper and wanted to be there for their sale but after 6 hours I threw in the towel.
I don't own any Parker paper and have never seen it sell, any opinions?

Robin,
I would say that both pieces went for more than I normally see them
sell for.

I agree with Jeff. I think they sold a little on the high side.

I looked over the two restored 20 gauge guns, and they were not, IMHO, very attractive guns. I did not like the case colors, and one gun had a very short stock.

Stephen,
I agree. I was not tempted to bid on any of them. A few years ago there were lots of nice Parkers moving across the auction block, but not now. At least not at the last three auctions I have attended.

What did you think of the GH and the price it sold for?
