I ended up with a bunch from estate sale. I found they are to small and sat around trying to figure out how to uses them. Well I got a primer resizer from BP and thought I would try it out, and it worked. So my question is does anyone have a recipe for them in 28 or 20? Or does anyone know what modern primer they might substitute for?
Thank you
Jeff

I had some Remington 10 and 16 gauge hulls that took the smaller primer . At the time I didn’t know of this and forced 209’s in them and after that of course the smaller diameter primer would fall out.

I was given 10k Remington 97-4 a while back. The -4 is just a 97 with a smaller flash hole, primarily intended for .410. A quick measurement says they are .241", as opposed to .242-3" Winchester 209. I'm down to 2000 and I can't think of anything remarkable. I've used them in 12,16, 20 and 28ga, and 99% of my reloading is in Cheddite hulls. If I recall, they are the same dia. as Cheddite primers. I don't use them in Fiocchi hulls.

These are smaller than Winchester 209’s
