I’m looking to get some opinions on the value of a Parker GHE and would you keep it the way it is , or have it restored by someone good

I'll let someone else weigh in on value. But as to condition, I would leave it just as it is. Looks like a nice gun.

Why touch it? I'd leave as is. Looks to be in nice condition.

Do not restore that gun! No reason for that.

you didn't say anything was wrong with it

looks like an honest nice shooter-

and I doubt you would ever recover the cost of a restoration

I agree with the rest of the responses - leave it as is, shoot it and have fun

What wonderful deep engraving on the side panels! Plus, Special Steel barrels! And all the screws are untouched! Restoration is like surgery--dont cut unless you have to. Things can go wrong in the quench or anywhere else. Just a gentle cleaning and enjoy a fine GH. JMHO

There are plenty of Parkers that would be more desirable with a full restoration your GHE isn't one of those. As is $3500 or restored $3500-$4000;your choice.

If that’s the case , I will not touch it except a good cleaning ,and oil
It’s hard for me to find any type of value on these Parker’s as the only place I see them for sale is on Gun International or fancy gun magazines and most of them are sure rare or mint old ones for like huge money

Thanks for your opinion sir

You will be hard pressed to get a value on it over the internet.
All I can say is that the gun has a lot going for it and you should leave it as it is. Dont fool with it.

If you want to keep it, value means nothing. If you want to insure it, use the blue book values. If you are trying to weigh value vs restoration costs… let me advise you that you will never come out ahead in that sort of scenario. They are all labors of love when it comes down to it.

just shoot it and enjoy it

I sent it off to a good guy who loves it the way it looks and will shoot it

I’ll keep the ones I got and be happy to use em and pass on down to my 2 sons after they put me in the ground , they can decide what to do with them then

I have enough SxS to do me for awhile ,

A happy ending. Perhaps you would wish to join the organization? Or make a donation to legitimize the sale?
