This is my first post and I'd like to thank everyone for all of the info that's posted here as I didn't know too much as to the history of the Parker Repros. I've had this gun for about 20 years and I received it as a gift. Was considering selling...but it's just such a beauty that I think I'll be hanging on to it:)

Here are a couple of photos....wondering if there is anything that is good/bad that I should be aware of as far as condition? I believe the specs are DHE 28 Gauge, 26" barrel Q1/Q2.

Any info would be appreciated.

Your 28 is a very desired configuration with the double triggers and more open chokes. You have yourself a dandy. That gun was one heck of a gift.

Straight gripper with two triggers, what's not to like????

Beavertail or a splinter forend? My favorite on a 28 gauge is the beavertail.

We can't give you a real inspection over the internet, but it looks good so far.

Nice gun but if I was storing it I would return the top lever to the center position to relieve the pressure on the spring and to prevent any damage

That is a swell gun ! It is light and fast and very good looking. It may take a little getting used to the fast handling. I am glad you will be holding on to it !! Best of luck with your
" new" 28. Paul.

I’ve taken it out a few times just for sporting clays and it is really light and fun to shoot.

I could use another Repro 28. My two grandsons fight overt who's going to shoot the 28' at the skeet field when we shoot every Sunday morning. The 28's are sweet little guns. I shot 6 pheasants with this 28 last week at Markover. Truly a fun sxs and lethal too.
Hold on to your 28'.

Dad has a Parker Repro 28 which is probably the best of his guns. It handles like a dream

I’ve never owned a Repro . But I think I’d kinda like a 20 with 28” M&F 3” chambers , straight grip , splinter forend and the triggers double but single selective would work also .

I had your exact gun with double triggers and sold it. I wanted it for Grouse and it was 6 lb 12 oz and I decided it was too heavy to haul up and down the mountains for grouse and I also didn't want to open up the chokes. Would have make a great pheasant gun out west. Wonder where it is now. This was at least 12 years ago. I sold it to a pheasant hunter in Pa who was going to use if for stocked Pa pheasants.

You have a very desirable configuration with the double triggers, straight grip, and Q1&2 chokes. Only thing better would be if it had the beavertail forend. Great little Grouse, Quail, and Woodcock gun. I have the exact same configuration and you'll have a very difficult time finding another like it.

Hold onto it..Shoot it and enjoy it for years to come. Valuations have been rising in recent years for these Repros. I'd keep it a d enjoy the heck out of it. Value now? Conservatory I'd say at least %6k if not more

I'm so glad I have two 28 gauge Skeet guns both with beavertails, one a Repro in the same configuration yours has and the other is an original Remington/Parker Skeet gun with the single selective trigger, else I would be makinbg you an offer that you couldn't refuse, I LOVE them!!

Only reason I want the longer barreled 20 with 3” chambers is for tower shoots at First Mine Run in Baltimore county MD as I have two flats of Browning 20 gauge 3” with #5’s . Yeah I know I don’t need 3” but I’ve got them so why not use them . Rather have an original VHE 20 gauge 1 frame with 32” barrels and 2 7/8” chambers but I don’t think that’s gonna happen .

I love my 2 Repros. A 20 ga with 28 inch barrels and a 28 ga with 26 inch barrels. Great substitutes for original Parkers. I also like my near mint 410 iver johnson skeeter on skeet.
I still shoot my original parkers, but much prefer the guns noted above.
