Does anybody know anything about the AAHE 410 that Connecticut Shotgun has listed today on Guns International? They say that its in 100% condition with full documentation. I didn't think Parker ever made a 410 in this grade. I also wonder why they only show three pictures. Personally I would have shown and at least 20 and probably more. Surely somebody on the site has heard of this gun in the past and will comment on it.

About 8-10 years ago they had a AAHE .410 upgrade done by DelGrego and Runge. It was microscopically signed by both men along the leading edge of the floor plate… same gun??
Nope, I just looked at the pics and it is not the upgrade they had before. IMO this one is the real deal !!

And therein lies the problem. There are missing records and just seems peculiar that some 'smiths/makers seem to get their hands on high grade guns that have no documentation to make one believe they are paying for an honest to goodness original high grade gun and not a lower grade that was somehow "upgraded".

Can't find it. Searched "Parker 410" on GI and it doesn't show up. Give us a link or item number, please. I don't want to be left in the dust.

I agree 100% John. Pictures please.....................
The pictures they do have posted (all 3 of them....) are terrible.

I wish they would post the price. I would call myself and ask but I have had a couple of bad experiences with this outfit and have learned my lesson. Glad they didn't have the No Return policy then and I was refunded my money. Anyway-I would still like to know the price of this gun and the serial number to research myself. If the gun would happen to be legit(big if)-it would probably be one of the best Parkers out there.

They sell a bunch of expensive guns so I don’t understand the POR. Also, the description says “ The gun is from the original owners Family who ordered the gun with every conceivable piece of paperwork including sketches of the engraving. ”. Yet no picture of any paperwork.

I can't understand why you wouldn't post several close-up pictures of a gun of this caliber unless you were hiding something. They had a minty BHE-16 gauge awhile back on Guns International that they showed several good pictures of and even went on youtube to show and tell how great the condition was. Doesn't make alot of sense to me why they aren't promoting this gun more.

To me it means the price is so far out of the realm of possibility that they want to get you on the phone so they can give you the “good ole boy” used car salesman spiel . But maybe that’s just the cynic in me :rotf:

Return policy….No Returns.
The “No Returns” statement is because NOBODY is going to buy this gun or commit to it off their Internet site. You will go there and examine the gun for a couple of hours and make your decision to buy it. If you missed something during your thorough examination of the gun… you will own the gun AND your mistake.

Terrible comes to my mind. I inquired about a 16g in the chat box as it wasn't in the serialization book and wanted to see the muzzle end. The chattee on the other end replied "Unless you're buying don't use this box"

Is this not the same seller discussed as having enhanced some guns from the G&D auction? The inflation thread……If you can turn a $3k gun into a $10k gun almost overnight, imagine the magic able to be created with a specimen where there is little intersecting documentation/records.
I see no surprise here.

When I first started using GB I wouldn’t allow the serial number to be seen . But I got over that pretty quick . Now when I list a gun I make sure the serial number on the water table , the trigger guard , the barrels and the forearm . Cuts down on a good many questions . I’ll say this , if I’m personally thinking about buying and they won’t divulge the serial number it’s a deal breaker .

A few years ago Remington Arms commissioned Galazan to build a small few of AAHE 28 ga and 410 bore. The fact that Remington purchased Parker in the 1930’s, Remington and Galazan maintain these guns are a continuation of the Parker Gun production. The asking price for several years was $50,000.00. Remington entered Bankruptcy and a few of these guns were sold at auction for somewhere in the low to mid $30,000 range.
My quess is that this is one of those guns. Obviously I don’t Know, just Think.

I think some clarifications are needed about Remington's attempts to reintroduce the Parker shotgun. They tried to do it themselves in 1988 --
114957114958
and 1989 --
114959
with an AHE 20-gauge with 28-inch vent rib barrels. One of these guns with a full-pistol grip and beavertail forearm was finally finished in July 2005, serial number XS0606 and was given to the PGCA to auctioned off in September 2005.
Then circa 2007/8 Remington tried again with the CSMC built AAHE 28-gauges --

Received a reply from Connecticut Shotgun. I simply asked for the serial # and the asking price. The reply, I quote:
Thank you for your interest, we currently have a deposit on the gun and several people interested so I am sure it is sold. One person is actually willing to pay more than the gun is posted for.

Not at all surprised, John. In fact, if I know Lou that one was probably sold by the second or third call from his black book. Most likely exhumed from a very luxurious "closet" located somewhere between Darien and Greenwich.

I think this is my first post but I’ve been a member for awhile. Yes, my dear friend Don McQuade and I will be at the shoot in Rhode Island and I will bring the CSMC/Remington/Parker AAHE 28 gauge for anyone to see and examine it. I do know some of the history of that project. Don and I took advantage of a fine day yesterday in Madison to shoot it, along with Don’s Parker 16 and his Baker SBT. Followed by cigars and bourbon (and Scotch when the bourbon ran dry) by the fireplace. A great day. Looking forward to Rhode Island.

Jack Puglisi told me about a AAHE 410 that was part of the Congdon Mansion in Duluth Minnesota. It was fired during a break in at the Congdon estate, and taken to the police station for evidence. It then disappeared. Jack had been on the lookout for this particular gun for years. The mansion now is part of the University of Minnesota as a gift!
