Does anyone know of anyone in the US that sleeves Parker barrels?
Kirk Merrington has retired.
Thanks, Alan

Right now. Not really. As you say, Kirk is retired, or very close to it. Aaron little has closed his books for the foreseeable future. Briley stopped doing it a while back.
Nobody else that I can think of.

Tom this is the same Aaron that Brian commented on. He is not taking on any new work.

Jon Hosford was doing sleeving work. But he did not have an ffl. So he would not take a receiver. Just the barrel set.
I dont know if he is still doing it, or how successful a job he can do without having the action. Or if he is even doing it as a service. But you may want to ask him.

Not sure I copied that right. Has anyone had dealings with Dewey Vicknair?

Dewey helped me begin restoration of my Parker DH 16 gauge. He is very knowlegeable, meticulous and somewhat cranky, but is an excellent craftman. He does nomally have a long backlog of work .
Hope this helps!

Kirk is a friend of mine; he has worked on several of my guns, and when I still lived in Texas we quail hunted together. Kirk has not retired, but has a big backlog of work and is not taking any more work on for the moment. Like the rest if us he is getting older, with the concomitant aches and pains that go with that, and is somewhat slower than he used to be.

Too bad Aaron is not doing sleeving anymore. He did a barrel on my LCSmith 20 gauge Crown grade and its completely invisible.
