Hello Everyone,
I am excited to keep this tradition going. This Parker shoot will be on Sunday April 2nd at 10AM at Peace Dale Shooting Preserve in South Kingstown, Rhode Island: https://www.pdshootingpreserve.com
We'll do the main sporting clays course and they have 5-stand for later if anyone is interested. There is a picnic area so please feel free to bring lunch/coolers. I would like to give them an estimate of the size of our group so please let me know if you can attend.
It is always so nice to see and meet PGCA members in person. I have a few “new” Parkers to show off to some of you since last year. Hopefully, we will have some nice weather and a fun shoot!

Looking forward to this shoot next Sunday at 10AM. Decisions, decisions on what Parker to shoot. I will bring a few for show and tell as all of you should...
Should I shoot a grade 2 20ga lifter or a 410VH or a 32" 20ga DHE or a damascus 16 ga GHE? Maybe a a 12 gauge BHE or a 28ga VH I had restoked that is just gorgeous?
I am hoping for a good turnout and great weather. Can't wait to see all of you!
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hello Everyone,
Looking forward to our shoot this Sunday. The weather looks cloudy, but not to cold. A little windy to keep us on our toes when we are shooting.
As a reminder, there is a nice picnic area with a grill when we are finished shooting.
Here is the website that has directions. See you Sunday at 10!

Russel, thanks for pictures. It was a fun day of shooting with great people. On the bad side, I thought I was done with my gun buying days, but then I shot Bob's sweet little 16 ga hammer gun, and now I am on a new quest.

That 28 ga. AAHE was a CSMC/Parker, right?

Since we never met up with the first group, Thank You, Russel for those picture. The second wave took to the Grouse course. Larry Frey, Allen Molin, Our host Jay, Corey Barrette, and I Had an immense amount of fun with Wind affected birds. It was a joy to be in the presence of not one, but Two AAHE guns. Once the huge leads the swamp targets required was mastered, we all had fun with the incoming chartreuse birds. We all seemed to find our groove, shooting a variety of Looong barrels, high grades, and bores of 12, 16 and 20.

Dean, you are correct, Steve's AAHE 28 ga is one of the Remington/CSMC guns. And he was shooting lights out with it.

Don
That 16 gauge hammer gun does that effect on most people even the OU guys at the skeet range. The ones that never shoot SS.
But it pales in comparison to that A grade presentation gun you brought for show and tell. Truly an amazing gun!
Russ / Cathy thank you for the photos as I never remember to take any while shooting.

Dean, you are correct, Steve's AAHE 28 ga is one of the Remington/CSMC guns. And he was shooting lights out with it.
It never ceases to amaze me how sensationally smashed up those targets can be with only 3/4-ounces of lead shot, as we saw Steve do yesterday with that 28-gauge Remington/CSME AAHE Parker.

I had go back to reality yesterday and today with work and didn't have a chance to see these great pictures. It was soooo nice to talk Parkers non-stop for half a day. I did stray a bit and brought a Greener 16ga with 24" barrels that I believe was owned by Gene Hill. I didn't shoot with the group, but forgot my vest and shot a round with when I went back later in the afternoon.
It was also nice to meet some members from the forum. Corey's Damascus AAHE is a work of art. I like Larry's AAHE as well, which has a gorgeous English stock.
Next year I am going to a better job getting everyone together at the end. I am going to plan on a big cookout where we call all enjoy some great food, time together, talk about how well we shot and do some show and tell.
Can't wait to do it again!

I probably should start a new thread and I will if everyone is interested. Here are some pics from a preserve hunt I did in February, which was the first time I shot the gun:

That's a sweet little sixteen for sure Jay. I once had a twenty-four inch Parker Lifter in sixteen gauge. I sure loved that little gun and I'd buy it back if it were offered to me.
Mine was cut back from twenty-eight inches, are thge barrels on your Greener originally twenty-four? Mine had no choke at all and was a great little game-getter.

Jay Oliver

Dean, I believe these barrels are the original length at 24". On the chokes I don't have the tools to measure constriction, but they are roughly IC/M. It also has ejectors as well

Is that Edgar smoking a pipe?? Does Julie know?.
I think so, since I've smoked a pipe for maybe 50 years. I think she's heard me swear too.

This was my first Parker event. Don McQuade and I drove in from Connecticut Nice course, very nice people. Hopefully nice time it’s a little warmer and everyone sticks around for lunch. Looks like we split into two groups to do the two courses; I had a great time with our group but didn’t get to see if meet the other half of the crew. Next time!

I should have done a better job with keeping the groups together. Next time we'll meet all together as a group(I will have some coffee)before we go onto the course then after the shoot we will have a nice lunch.
There are grills there and we could have a nice cookout. We could have a few tables and display some Parkers.
Let's make this a real special event next year.

Don and I will bring some elk for the grill next year. We are going to Colorado in September and of course we will be successful. What a genuinely wonderful bunch of people!

Jay, I'm sorry that I missed the shoot. I was planning on attending but an issue arose at home that I needed to address. I'll make it next year for sure and God willing.
