This morning I won the auction on GB for a 12ga.,VH Parker with a 1 1/2 frame,28" Vulcan barrels. The metal has been refinished and seems to look very good. Bottom line I paid $1200 including tax and shipping. It's item number 965985734 if interested to look at. Just wondering if it was a good deal or if I overlooked something. Thank you for any input.

It has a new buttstock as well....

Sounds like a good price for a shooter. Just looked at it though; too bad the wood has been messed with so much.

I think that the buttstock may be original, it is just poorly refinished and reshaped.

The gun is what it is I suppose. You did not get any sort of a screaming deal. I think you could have gotten a much better gun for the same money. At least one that has not been molested as much. But if you are happy, then that is all that matters.

Chuck:

You have come to the right place to seek advice in buying or evaluating a Parker gun from the most knowledgeable people possible. They have certainly helped me and enhanced my enjoyment of these guns.

I suggest that you join the Parker Gun Collectors Association ($40 per year dues), and along with other benefits, i.e., the quarterly journal, you will be able to access the "Members Only" sections of the Forum you are on now.

This would open up to you the "guns for sale" and "wanted to buy" sections.

Congratulations if this is your first Parker gun. None of us stop at one.
