Nice gun, but if the initials were not mine it would lessen what I might pay for it, unless the initials were of a very notable person of historical significance.

When Lee Iacocca turned 50, the 34 V.P's at Ford all chipped in, and bought him a M21 Grand America. Turned out to be the most garish, over-the-top piece I've ever seen

I once had a beautiful double rifle by Ed. Kettner, 10.75x76. The previous owner, Edward F Spicer, had it engraved by John Warren. He had his initials engraved on the trigger bow. ESF. It was very easily changed to ESB

There are so many more tasteful ways to personalize a gun than that.

As is said so often right here on this forum, "It's his gun and he can do what he wants."
Guessing this one is for sale because the owner passed away, so he doesn't really care at all about resale value.

If that's not good luck it doesn't exist.

That's saying a lot considering some of the custom 21's I have seen. That may be biased that I personally consider the 21 itself as pretty homely naturally.

Sometimes the workmanship and execution can be ruined by the overall design.

The gun has about 7 pounds of gold slathered all over it

Not liking it. I'll take a V grade or a Trojan any day over that. I'm not into "fancy".

Gee, I wonder if that owner was just a little narcissistic?

Would you hate it as much if it was given to you as a retirement gift.
I have had a couple 20ga m21’s that were just that, most in unused condition like this one when I got them.
