Premium once-fired 28g hulls are going for 20-25 cents per hull. One of the regulars at Rock Mountain just recently bought a Benelli Super Sport competition gun in 28 gauge; and over the past few weeks he's been busy picking his hulls at every station. That means up and down hills, in the brambles, etc. He said the Benelli was an "impulse buy" when he really wanted a Browning 725 Sporting o/u but couldn't find one right then.

So today he showed up with his shell catcher invention. :rotf:

We saw Doc about halfway around the course and he reported his catcher missed only 2 hulls at that point. He's a pretty good shot and said his score was about on par at that point.

Tell him if he could afford that semi auto just add a couple more thousand and get a Browning 725 28 gauge then there’s no need for that thing . :rotf::rotf: All my BS aside I had a similar thing I’d put on the ejection port of the AR’s I used for deer . Everything in an AR I had usually had pricey brass (Grendel , 260 , 338 Federal) so I didn’t take kindly to loosing even a single piece .
