Here is a recently fully restored VH 12g next to its original wood. Restored for the owner whose grandfather bought the gun brand new. 111076

Brian,
Did you rust blue the barrels? They look mighty fine, as well.

Yes. This was one of the last sets that I did. I have decided to hang up rust bluing as a service for a while. I cannot stand polishing barrels. It is too hard on me physically.

I just finished reading your article on the 2023 raffle gun. Absolutely beautiful work. I have a German made shotgun in my office with the same pattern of Damascus on the barrels. Do you know the name of that pattern?

That's a good picture to keep in mind when you think you're having a bad day. Your work is really impressive Brian.

The only good thing about the old stock is there is no decision whether to make a new one or try to fix the old one. Ones in the latter category will drive you nuts

Nice work as always.

Nice stock. Grain seems to run right up through the wrist as it should. Not that many V grades have stocks that nice.

You mean you don't like the aching finger wrists and elbows and how you loose your fingerprints for a couple days ?
No it's a crap job I agree ...I'm a real sucker, usually wait till I have 8 to 10 sets to do, its mindless drudgery
