I bought a 20g Trojan from an online auction with one poor photo and very little description. Rolled the dice because price was right.
It has a front sight bead that I’ve never seen before. Looks like a precursor to the “glow worm” sights.
Does anyone know who made this and what era?

I am not familiar with that sight. Interesting the way the matting terminates on that rib.

That is factory matting and termination we have seen on several lower grade Parkers. It’s simply missing the perpendicular termination line. Each of the matting grooves show the tool was lifted before running off the end of the rib.

I was not questioning it’s originality.

I've seen this type of bead before. Normally they have either a white or red covering of some sort making it a full rounded bead facing the shooter. I'm thinking this particular bead is damaged & has the colored covering missing showing the brass inner core.

I knew I had seen one before. I stumbled across this while rummaging through some of misc. stuff while looking for something else.
