I've looked for 20 years for a patch from the Meriden Rod and Gun Club. Finally found one, sadly not super old, likely late 70s. Anybody got anything older? I'd love to see it.

That is neat. I saw one of their shotguns for sale not too long ago

A fellow I know whose forebear was a member of the Meridan club, and who saves such things, as he is definitely an artifacts and nostalgia inspired active outdoorsman, will look around for an older patch when he returns North in the Spring.
A related digression: You might find these, seen by me online, of interest: the DATED rod and gun club membership badges of yesteryear.

My contact, now back in New England for the Summer, does recall an older model Meriden Rod and Gun Club patch, but does not have one. He believes that it was, "from mid fifties was white/light grey silkscreen on a round maroon patch".
So, "they're out there".
He did also send these photos of his grandfather being awarded for his skeet shooting and related patches.

Destry, the club still exists and is an active group. The Hartford Gun Club, oldest organized gun club in the country, has hosted events in the past between the two clubs.
A note to them might yield more info on patches, and dates.

Looks like a great place! Reminds me of our Forest City Gun Club
