The seller describes this as a Steel Shot Special 2-bbl. set in excellent condition. Take a look at the serial number listed and the left side of the BT forend in the 2nd pic.

Perhaps this meets your definition of a SSS and one that's in excellent condition. But, certainly not mine on both counts.

Bill's had that for a while. It is not a SSS but if it had 2 triggers it would be mine because of the great chokes.

Hi Greg, it’s been a while since viewing. I see the gun you are talking about. Please notice the hinge pin not lined up where it should be AND the bottom plate screws are all in the wrong position. When taking those 3 screws out they all have to go back in the same hole they came out of. That’s why those screws are all out of alignment. Thanks Richard Skeuse

You’re absolutely right Richard regarding the indexing of the screws. It’s indicative that someone not totally familiar with Parkers was messing with this gun and likely unaware that the floor plate screw tips are marked to identify which position they fit into. Typically one screw is marked with a "+", another with a "-" and one unmarked. One should be cognizant of this when removing them in order to get them back into their respective holes correctly.

In addition to all of the sloppy work, the ckeckering on the pistol grip looks to have been recut, very poorly.
