I recently saw on an auction sight that a VH 12 gauge was consider rare with a 28 inch barrel.
Is this correct or just a sales pitch?
THANKS

Depends on what a person considers rare. 13,660 made in 28" out of 51,901 total 12ga.

Thanks Bruce
If I can ask a newbie question.
Is that 13,660 made in 28" out of 51,901 total 12ga in all models or just VH

The Parker Story gives production figures for all Parkers, deliminated by grade, and within the grade, by gauge and barrel length. I gave you only V hammerless information because I perceived that to be your concern. If you are asking all Parkers regardless of grade, then a person would need to total each grade and barrel length individually and that would take a while. There were about 242,241 Parkers made.

As an aside, there are many of us who strongly urge a prospective Parker collector to buy, read and understand TPS before buying any Parker. Kind of a basic homework issue and protects one from the nonsense that you sometimes hear. Either that or have a good friend who knows his Parkers and can keep you from mistakes or being taken advantage of.
