Had this beauty hanging out by the lodge Friday. A Cecropia moth, the largest native North American moth otherwise known as the giant silk moth.

Cecropia Moth
In my teens I used to catch and collect moths and butterflies and spread their wings and dry them and display them in glass cases. I'm not being a smartass but just pointing out the differences.

Not if you stuff them with crabmeat. It's a Maryland thing.:)

No different than hummingbirds. Takes a few years to have enough for a real pot pie, two crusts.

If that was the case it would have been one of those tiny moths that eat flour products.

One doesn't have to open their wallet to buy a Fox. You can use the change that you find in your couch cushions. Unless you are turning a SW into a D grade with a small mortgage. Just sayin'. :bigbye:

I'm terrified of moths. I think they're reincarnated devil beasts. Honestly, I can't stand any moth near me. Would rather have a rattle snake near me.
