Is this the 'old Style" top lever spring?

As I understand the question, yes, this looks like the “old Style“ as compared to a newer style that has the post-war multi-piece top lever linkage.

To my eyes, that looks like part # 19, a top lever spring.

As compared to # 13, 14, and 15 in

Note also please, the lifter action pictured above the schematic is absolutely NOT what the schematic represents.

Thanks John. This job is way above my current pay grade. My contribution was to try and find a replacement part. That is a great instruction sheet though.

The top lever spring was kind of stubby and that one looks very long. It also doesnt show the post that a Parker spring has

That spring that you posted a picture of is not correct. That looks more like a mainspring for an LC smith. The parker top lever spring is small. About 1” long and has a post on it.

Whatever that spring is that is being advertised as fitting a Parker, is NOT for a Parker.

Now that shape does look a lot more like part # 19 compared to the first one you showed.

Dan, That TP7203 spring is SIMILAR to a Parker top lever spring. But not the same. I have a number of them on hand and have used them before in Parkers when I absolutely have to. They need their post filed down a lot. As well as the legs of the spring shortened some. They are also very stiff and can be tough to get installed. But they ARE workable.

Thanks Brian. Is there a better option ffom one of the suppliers? Trying to avoid making one. One of the threads I found did mention a Bronnels spring that was workable too.

I put one of these in my duck gun and Brian is spot on does take some time to fit and is a very strong spring but that is what I wanted for this gun. I did some creative grinding of some needle nose vice grips that aided greatly getting spring into place. When I shut this gun on a cold duck day it closes and locks with authority.

I can make you a spring if you need

Thank you sir. I’ve got a couple of different springs ordered. We’ll see if we can make them work. If not, I will let you know. Thanks again.
