Hi Phil,
You can do that, but you have to reduce the size of the file(most likely). The maximum size I see listed for a file is 488kb. Some photo editor apps can do this for you, though I usually do this is a MS Word Document, When I post pictures, the size of the my file is usually around 5 MB, I cut and paste them into a Word Document and save the pictures as "Print Quality" which is around 400-450kb.
You can upload multiple pictures, but each picture has to be less than that 488kb file size.
I hope that helps. If not or I made things more confusing let me know and I can probably explain it better over the phone.

Thanks Jay. That actually sounds like more trouble than going through my hosting site :)! I just get tired or transferring photos to the site that I'll probably only post once. I'm kind of a computer doofus and what I'm doing works so I think I'll stick with it. Thanks again!

Phil, it's really easy to post from your computer. I used to use hosting sites in the past but the collector sites all now allow direct posting of photos so no need for the third party.

When posting from your phone to the site you should do an edit to any photo you are posting. Easiest thing is to crop the image even slightly, that will make sure the image is posted in the correct orientation so we don't have to stand on our heads to look at them. Just ask me how I know! :rotf:

I see the links are coming up 404.
To post photos, click manage attachments, then choose file, then click on your file and click open on the bottom of your page, then upload. Then you can either submit reply or preview post and you are good to go.

Or get a Mac and skip most of the steps outlined above.:) And...forgo the picture hosting site, too.:bigbye:

Garry, still have to do those same steps with my iPhone and that’s an Apple system

Hmm…my IPhone automatically uploads my photos to the cloud, so they are on the computer. Then it’s a case of dragging to the desktop and an easy upload to our wonderfully simple to use site.

My desktop is a Windows OS and doesn’t use the cloud.

I think the main "issue" is the file size of the pictures. You can't click and drag if pictures are 5mb. It seems the Apple files are below the 488kb, which makes posting here a lot easier.
While I am Apple shareholder, I am still a PC and Android guy...

It’s easy to resize the photos if the file is too large. The upload box from the site will let you know. Very seldom do I have to reduce the file size. It usually happens if it’s from something I did on Photoshop.

There’s also a setting on the phone. I think the technical term is “one notch down.” It’s detailed, but will still go through email and load to the site. As the Great One of the Mountain would put it, “Just Sayin’” ⛰:)

Garry, , definitely a tech term. I learned that term in “Reticle Adjustment 300” class.
