I recently found this SBT listed online with almost no info by the gun shop and priced at 1.5k.

I need to find out the serial, barrel length, bore condition assuming it's 12 gauge.

What would be a good ballpark for a SBT in this general condition ?

I have three of which two were about double that price and the third was almost twice that price . Two of mine are 32” and the other is 34” . If I was ever to buy a fourth SBT it would be for one or more of the following reasons , #1 factory 30” gun , #2 factory straight grip and #3 higher grade as all three that I have are SC grades .

If you wanted one, it is a good price. It looks pretty unmolested and it is an earlier gun.

I was able to pickup the SC. 1,555.00 shipped seemed to be too good to pass up. I’ll post some pictures of it when it arrives.

The action is reported as tight, very nice bore and 34” barrel.

Being an SC with a 34” barrel it’s looks to be one of 353 produced.

On a side note they also have this Wesley Richards SBT consigned by the same owner.

Just wondering if you got the gun yet and could post more pics. I think you got a hell of a buy. I’ve paid way more for far less.

Hey Mike, sorry for the delay. I have not had a chance to take pictures yet. It looks to be very honest. The bore looked good with no dents in the 34" barrel. The stock looks to have been cut down to 14.5" from 15" but overall in good shape. I couldn't find any cracks and it locks very tight. It just needs a little cleaning. The following research letter came with it as well.

I know where a 32" Parker DHE 20 resides that was also shipped to Honeyman Hardware if memory serves me correctly.

15" would have been too long for most of us anyway. Pretty cool!

Curiously, I find I like a little longer LOP on my trap guns than my other guns. More stability.

To coin a young persons phrase “back in the day” when I could shoot trap/skeet well my K-32 was 14 5/8” and my face wasn’t as fat as it is now . Now I’m finding 14-14 1/2 about right .

This SBT letters as an SC but I was also told it may be a B grade. Could anyone help me out?
I was told it has Parker engraving was well.

Hi Joel,

Looks like an SC to me. Letter states an SC as well. Remove the barrel and the water table will tell you for sure. I will likely have a C stamped on the water table.

Nice gun!! Bobby

If it letters as a C how could it be a B?

Looking at the pics you provided it’s definitely a C.

And of course it has Parker engraving… after all it was made by Parker Brothers.

Joel, you got a great gun for a really great price IMO. By being selective about who you listen to concerning these guns you can eliminate a lot of potential hazards. Posting on these forums will always get you good information. Thank you for being a member!

Thanks Mike!

I’ve only been collecting Parker’s for a few years and are always looking to learn.
