I was bemoaning missing the 16 gauge Trojan that sold here last week to a friend who said "I've got on I'd sell you." He bought it as a project gun 20 years ago and hasn't shot it in 15 years. Bonus pic of bald eagle flying over the house yesterday.

Nice 16 Trojan Dan, will make a fine field gun. What length barrels? I have a VH 20 I bought back in the late 80's that had been refinished and has case colors like that. Hope you have access to some 16 ga ammo--that gun will shoot about anything.
On the way home from tennis the other day, there was an immature bald eagle sitting on a deer carcass.

I just bought a 20ga Trojan, that was made about 400 guns after yours.
Very nice wood on that one, make one heck of a nice field gun.

Barrels are 28 with lengthened forcing cones and the constrictions are .008 .009. I haven't patterned it yet. I just ordered a couples cases of shells.

A nice moniker for that Trojan would be "Bond" for the 007 serial number.

Who did that restoration? Was the price reasonable? Looks good to me.

A local guy and friend did the mechanical work, wood and bluing and sent the case coloring out. I plan to bring it to the Southern and run some rounds through it. I thought the price was good considering the condition. Just slightly more than the 16 Trojan that sold here last week.
