Saw this gun yesterday, a big #5 frame hammer gun, grade 0, seven pound one ounce 34" Twist barrels. Same old story, I missed out on this one. If any of our readers ended up with this treasure, let us know. Mismatched hammers, a little loose at the breech, no other problems.

I just picked one up yesterday. mine has mismatched hammers and is a grade 5. but its 7 13 for weight. I just posted about it asking for help identifying it. Maybe it was the same one you saw?

The one I saw was not a grade 5 and just the barrels weigh over 7 pounds. The gun probably weighs over 12 pounds. I see by your other post that we have flushed out the owner of the gun I described. Congratulations on a great gun, Shawn.

Thank you! im confused on trying to identify everything about it. I posted those photos and someone said it was a grade one, howver i just researched some and it appears that only hammerless grade 1 parkers had ejectors. Mine has ejectors though

Shawn, your gun has "extractors", not ejectors. Ejectors are two separate parts, spring loaded, that throw the shells out of the gun after they are fired. Exposed hammer Parkers do not have ejectors. There are surviving records on your gun in the PGCA archives which could identify the original owner of your gun. If you join the PGCA, you can order a letter on your gun for $40.00. A non member has to pay $100.00 for a letter, so joining will give you that benefit and many others.

The 7 13 is un struck barrel weight . If you put the barrels and forend on a good digital scale it’ll probably come up from 7 pounds 11 ounces to 7 pounds 15 ounces .
