Interesting history lesson on the making of lead shot.

I'm told that at one point, Remington claimed that their shot making process was the highest volume, high precision process in the world

Very interesting,
I was unaware of this shot tower or that it would be open to people as a museum, have any of our members close to Baltimore toured this?

No way, Stan. They charge $65.00 a bag for hard shot. I'll wait until the price comes down.

I have Stan. It was a field trip when I was in the 5th or 6th grade. Back then Baltimore was a nice city. We did Fort McHenry and the shot tower in the same day. Our school, PS228, was only a few miles from there.

Was that field trip during Truman or Ike? Asking for a friend.

Not sure, Lincoln had just been assassinated and our school marm had to milk her cows before hitching the team to the school wagon. It was all a blur. You coming to Chuck's on Sat?

On my way to the Southern I drive within a few miles of this one. I should make it a point to stop but I have not.

If I don’t get booked to guide I’ll be there. Hoping Frank comes along too.

Found this card today! Looks like some buildings have been removed.

I was only joking about the $65.00 a bag shot. The problem is they make the customer carry the molten lead up the stairs in buckets.
