Well lets see !

The second one is an SC 32" circa 1937 gun I picked up at Sanford last year .

The third also an SC 32" but tighter choked circa 1924 that was added perhaps three months ago .

And finally the first also an SC but 34" circa 1920 .

I think I've got plenty for my 16 yard and Handicap needs , however I wouldn't be against picking up a nice factory original straight grip gun .

Sorry I've never taken a group picture and to be honest the second and third pictures were taken by the seller .

I decided I needed a group picture so I just half ass tried to take a few . The 34” at the top , gun I got at Sanford in the middle and the second I acquired at the bottom . And once again the pictures got turned .So top becomes left middle stays the same and bottom becomes right .

When I was growing up, all the Parker singles were ratted out guns with cut stocks, brown receivers and rusty barrels. Our singles today are in great condition.

Thanks Gunner... will not be setting up the display this year. I have parted with a couple from the collection and don`t have the passion that I once did...

I bid on the Amoskeag one this weekend but got left in the dust of other bidders. Work on our house is draining money for more important things right now

Mills, I looked at that Fox as well but decided to go for the Remington Model 32TC. Like you, I was left in the dust.

John nice job on the Model 32. I had one but lost it in the Campfire. Well, I still have it but there is no wood and the gun is a little crispy!! Those actions are bulletproof. It still opens and works as it should.

I ended up with the Fox and the Parker from Amoskeag. Sorry guys didn't know you where bidding!!! I might be interested in trading the Fox for something.

Here's most of the Parker SBT's!! I will try to get a picture with all of them.

The straight grip atop the gun case (in front) is Serial #176795 made in 1917, and with a 34" barrel to boot!! It has the early heart looking scroll engraving. I will send some pics of it.

Mills, the other single trap guys posting here remember when a good Fox single would bring $7000. The Amoskeag gun sold for less than half that amount. It was a good buy and I'm sorry you missed out. What great displays of single barrels we have here.

Purdey, .

The first SBT that I honestly ever noticed was a Purdey . Gun was in a Flayderman sales catalog from back in the early 70’s . I should still have the catalog somewhere . There were a group of British guns in that catalog if memory serves a Woodward O/U , a Boss or two several Purdey guns and a Holland all SxS and the one SBT . If I run across that old catalog I’ll save it for you .

Every gun I've bought has been one I could hold in my hands, or from a person I knew from the boards, at least by reputation. I'd be scared to bid on an auction gun, especially an expensive SBT because so many of them have had the bejeezuz shot out of them. I don't have the disposable income anymore to be buying something that turns out to be a wall hanger !

Back when the catalogs I have were printed Flayderman was one of the few avenues for acquiring things . His sales catalogs as I refer to them were very much like Leroy Merz’s catalogs are today . You bought it paid for it they shipped when it arrived you had a day or so to look it over and if you didn’t want it call them and tell them it was coming back .

I don’t have one with the all scroll on the floor plate , however the first one I tried to buy was of the scroll on floor plate era .

Gunner, to keep you from having to locate that older thread, my early SC is serial number 176,128. It is a nice gun with colors and great general condition. The lever is to the left, but the condition doesn't indicate how it got that way.
