Recently had my early straight stock Fox XE returned after tightening and sprucing up its internals. Will try to get a picture placed. It is tight and very on face with responsive single trigger.http://parkerguns.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=104013&stc=1&d=1644381093
This Fox is fond of wild and elusive Eastern turkeys and ducks. Its Super Fox HE companion gets exposure to geese and wild turkeys. XE Barrels are 30 in extra full with figured stock to Silvers leather-faced pad. "A Fox gets the game".

I wish First Seargent Mosteller was still with us ! He’d enjoy seeing that one . He was debating an XE a few weeks before he passed .

I think I could have shared some stories with 1st Sergeant Mosteller. I was a 1st LT in Vietnam and retired as a Lt Colonel. Nash Buckingham's XE engraved HE Super Fox, "Bo Whoop" is now at the Ducks Unlimited Museum in Memphis.

At the 2010 Las Vegas show, when Julia's had Bo Whoop up for auction, Jim let us have it at our A.H. Fox Collector's Association table for a while.

Our display that year was of course members Super-Fox doubles, including a C-HE and a Becker.

Before Bo Whoop went to Julia's i spent an afternoon with her, in Savannah, taking pics, measuring, verifying and ......... fondling. ;) It was a unique and very special time for me that I will never forget. When I mounted the gun and looked down the barrels I was keenly aware that I was seeing the same view Mistah Nash had seen so many times. My heart was pounding!

Who did the work you describe on that fine gun? I think the X engraving might be my favorite of all the Fox patterns.
Let me add my thanks for your service also.

He and I spoke more then a few times over the years. Both of us had been overseas in Japan and acquired a bunch of guns while there. Many were shipped home and then swapped and sold over the years for Foxes. He and I both met a fellow located outside of Fredericksburg Va that had a pile of classic doubles including more then a few LC Smith .410 and various high grade Foxes. Unfortunately by the time I met the fellow Sqt Mosteller had already scooped up the nicer stuff. He was certainly quick on the draw when it came to Foxes. Always wondered what happened to his collection. I had heard it was going to be sold through a shop located in Orange Va, but I think something else must have happened and they never hit the open market.
