Been looking for an affordable Remington 32 and it arrived today. A three digit serial number TC with 32 inch barrels. Took it out and shot it today. I really like how it fit and shot. It did double on me twice though. Any tips on adjusting it? Does probably need a good cleaning. The safety is locked in the forward position. I do not know much about these single triggers and am not sure if it is an original Remington trigger or not. Do lighter loads reduce the doubling or does that not matter? It will be a fun gun even if it does double from time to time.

A good strip and clean would be the first step IMO.

It appears to me that is a Miller single trigger.
When the Model 32 was introduced, it was only offered with double triggers. A gun with a three-digit serial number was probably built before Remington perfected their single selective trigger. August 12, 1933, Remington Arms Co., Inc. illustrated price list --

By March 1934, Remington was offering their single selective trigger --

If I’m not mistaken you got that gun off Gunbroker . I was watching it and forgot to bid LOL’s . I e owned a pair of Remington 32’s and never had the doubling issue also had a pair of K-32’s also no doubling issue . The Remington 32’s safeties functioned and I never made an attempt to lock them down . Both the K-32’s I had came with a set screw in the frame you could tighten and lock the safety off . Never paid attention whether Remington 32’s had that feature but it certainly wouldn’t have been hard to install .

Thanks for the info. From pictures of other Miller triggers I did think it looked like a Miller. It does not have "Miller" on the trigger like I saw in some pictures so I was not sure. I wish it did have the double triggers but I like this one just fine too. It was from Gunbroker and I was glad to get it. I have tried on others but they always went out of my price range. I will be figuring out how to properly strip and clean it next. Any other tips on these great guns would be greatly appreciated....thanks again!

You can pick up a reprint of the original owners manual on eBay. They are very helpful. Only a few were made with double triggers in the beginning and many of those were sent back to Remington for a single trigger replacement.

What a gorgeous gun!
If I needed (wanted) a 32 that price wouldn't scare me off.

Cabelas Fort Worth seems to have taken in a collection of Remington F Premier Grades. A couple of Model 11 12-gauges, and a 20-gauge, a Model 17 and another Model 32 all recently listed on GI.

I do not know single triggers very well and am not sure if this is a Miller or not?? I also hear you can adjust the safety and I would like to get this one working again. Is that done with the slotted screw in the frame just below the safety? Any tips would be greatly appreciated...could not seem to find anything on line except that it can be done....

I'd suspect that if the safety slide is now the barrel selector for the Miller trigger the Safety Adjusting Screws may no longer be functional.

The Miller Trigger Company claims to be able to fix Miller and any other triggers. Give them a shot.

What was the price? The discussion here must have gotten someone excited. The gun is marked SOLD now.

Probably an original F Grade with a nice restock and the dreaded 26" barrels. Almost ten grand?

My REM 32 is a 4 barrel skeet set. Simmons 20,28,.410 barrels. It was my mother’s skeet gun. Its safety is locked off. Great set.
