Cody letter is the only solution. John Durkin style fleur de lis.

Yes a Cody letter but if you don’t get anything send pictures to Pauline Muerrel.
The dealer I bought my grade 6 21 20 gauge from received information that my 21 was a field gun. It was when delivered in 1941, but it was sent back for a new stock and to be engraved in the grade six pattern.
I would not have known this except I contacted Pauline and she had the original Custom Shop engraving records showing this and noting the engraver was John Ulrich.
I can’t say it is factory engraving but it looks like the grade 6 pattern to me.

It certainly looks factory.

Looks like an aftermarket interpretation of the 21-6 pattern to me.

That wedge of floral engraving on the barrels doesn't look typical Winchester to my eyes.

Engraving on barrel breech looks funky to me.

Is that a Galazan made 21?

What is up with the engraving on the receiver? Look at the engraving on the barrels and the sides of the receiver and compare the work to that done on the floorplate. Looks like two completely different styles. Hard to believe the floorplate is on the same gun as the rest of the gun.
