My name is Dwayne Shook. I recently picked up my very first Parker. My good buddy Danny Sweet is member and referred me, so here I am. I have a very nice DH with the word "ALASKA" stamped on the dolls head and the barrel lug.
I sent out a request for the research letter last week. I hope to get some info on this to share with all of you. I am very excited to get this figured out. I'm sure I will have many more questions and look forward to talking with you.

Dwayne, welcome aboard, if you haven't been vaccinated against the "Parker Bug" you'll be buying more and more of them.:corn:

Welcome Dwayne! The only vaccine that works is “buy more!” Enjoy!

Welcome Dwayne,
Years ago, around 40 or so, there was a Duane (sp?) Shook from Hemet California, as I recall, that collected nice doubles, etc.
Any relation?

This gun was discussed here recently. It looks like it was posted by your friend. Nobody had any idea as to why it was marked that way. And I think that the general consensus was that it was done after manufacture for some unknown reason.

There used to be a gunshop in downtown Fairbanks that was the place to go for especially repairs for many many years. It closed sometime in the past 10? yrs or so. I think the space is still empty. The owner had a few nice Parkers of his own that were subsequently sold outside of Alaska and I think have been discussed here in the past.
