Do all frames of equal size, as stamped on the lug, carry the same the same dimensions? Does this reflect directly to the stock dimensions?

The number on the lug provided reference for the soft fitter to match an unstruck barrel with a partially finished frame and fore end.

Refer to page 527 in The Parker Story for frame dimensions.

Page 527 of The Parker Story and page 47 of the Parker Gun Identification and Serialization book show frame sizes and their respective dimensions. These were Parker Bros. standards for each frame size.

If you don't have "The Parker Story", here is a small bit of information on frame sizes that may help?

Gentlemen, thank you for your help. I have a # 2 frame gun, that has very shootable dimensions with a high, thick comb. I was just curious.

Paul, I have 3 0 frame guns with different buttplate dimensions. The 28 ga buttplate is distinctly smaller than the two 16's. I don't have a 20 0 frame to compare, but it looks to me like butt dimensions were a lot more variable than the frames themselves. Best.
