Thanks, Charlie! It's a nice day here, too. Went duck hunting this morning at the Swan Lake Refuge in 15 degree weather and had to break through 3/8" ice. Carried my EH 10, but the ducks weren't flying our way. Thousands of snow geese and speckle bellies, but all were high. No shots fired, but a wonderful morning with a young friend I've not hunted with a quite a while.
Everyday I'm above ground I consider a good day.

We've had the warmest-driest fall on record this year. No one alive today has seen anything like this because all of the previous records were set back in the 1870-80's. Denver finally set the new record for latest snowfall a couple of weeks ago by officially recording 3 tenths of an inch of snow "That all we've had since April 22 of last spring"
All of Colorado is classified as being in drought conditions with large portions of the state deemed in the sevier to extreme drought category. The mountains have gotten some snow but are way below average for this time of year.
Hopefully things will turn around after the first of the year and we'll get some sorely needed moisture. The farmers need it along with all the downstream states that rely on the Colorado snowpack run-off.
I'm glad to hear other areas are doing better than us. I just wish you could send any extra moisture you have our way; We really need it.

We have gotten 10" so far since last night and it's still coming down; could be the 12" prediction is correct. I just plowed most of my pad out of self defense so it won't be as hard to do it all again this afternoon.... and it's only 0615 here now.

I doubt you'll get much if any snow Ed. Your air is coming out of the central and southern Pacific right now.

Both Friday and Saturday I took my hour and a half walk with the snow blower and Sunday moved it into the heated garage and did maintenance on it. Snowing a bit again this morning.

Nary a flake here yet. Yesterday was in the very low 40s with gusting winds to 30 mph occasionally. Wind-chill figures were down into the low 20s. The wind did nothing to salve my usually dismal skeet shooting skills, and played 'merry Ned' (as Elmer Keith used to say) with my normally decent trap scores!!! Thank God for our little portable fire pit which we move about the ranges as needed.

Last Friday was our last windy and warmish day. The puddle ducks have mostly left with the big wind last week I sat with Nellie for a few hours and no webbed foot visitors. Turning my attention to divers. Marsh is now frozen.
