Coming up we have a SxS event for y'all to enjoy! Sunday, December 19 we host our "Season's Greetings" shoot. Nothing but fun. For those who sign up to shoot SxSs we will provide lunch (Mike's famous Cincinnati Chili and maybe even some homemade kalachi and kiffles for dessert). We will award a door prize by random draw for one entrant, a set of electronic shooting muffs. Come out for some "Double Gun Fun"!! Cost is $35 for 100 birds. Hope to see you soon!!

I'm surely looking forward to the shoot and hope to see/talk with other northeast SxS enthusiasts there. Also I have some excess "stuff" beyond what I want to keep and will round it up and post details before then. Thanks Mike for offering this event at good pricing.

But but but ........., it’s still deer season and I’m way behind on my usual Talley :rotf: I’ll give it some thought however

Have the dough in the fridge for the first batch of kalachi. Be baking tomorrow night. :)

By “kalachi,” I assume you are referring to the pastries called kolachki?

Thanks Mike and Susan for hosting the Rock's Season's Greetings shoot. Yesterday's weather was downright cold, windy, some snow on the ground, ice here and there, overcast clouds and with high humidity left over from Saturday's all day rain. Nonetheless there were about 40-50 shooters doing the courses and I saw some really great shooting with side by sides. Good to meet up with and talk with many friends, and the Rock's food and deserts were excellent. I saw one Super-Fox shooting clays, on its way back home from a member's successful duck hunt in northern NY. I don't know for sure but I think my friend Lou was high SxS gun with 90 ex 100 using a 12-gauge Winchester 24. And that was after missing 3 wind blown birds on the last station many of you know as ""the cliff". I shot my Matilda an Ansley era CE Fox, started out well, but my asthma got really riled up with the weather conditions and I decided to quit early.. But on the plus side I moved some stuff I had for sale in the clubhouse. Overall a great time!

Sounds like a fun, but cold, day. Hope you get to feeling better soon, Frank.

Thanks Frank! Wasn’t that cold, it was 31, but when we had temps pushing 60 for most of the week the sudden plummet in the mercury sure feels worse. In another month or two we’ll look forward to 31 degrees!
